Sing With Your Mouthful
An absurdist, participatory performative banquet and opera. Composed and performed by TiSiTi (Tara Reece, Ceola Tunstall-Behrens and Tisa World), performed with Singing Club Rotterdam and created in collaboration with Eat Your Feelings (Alina Turdean and June Yu).
Sing With Your Mouthful is a performative banquet where food and vocal composition merge. The audience was guest, witness and participant in the experimental happening. As the dinner progressed, everything became messy both physically and sonically. There was gargling, singing with a mouthful of food, bubbles blown into the "wine," and conversations continued in shouts from one end of the table to the other. Dining conventions and etiquette were questioned, and the audience was invited to join in on everything.
Singing Club Rotterdam is an experimental anti-choir for all voices. Eat Your Feelings is an experimental food project exploring conceptualisation of food for cinema and live events.
