About
Ceola Tunstall-Behrens is a multidisciplinary artist, vocalist, performer, moderator and educator based in Rotterdam. In her research-based artistic practice, she is interested in the capturing, archiving and reconstruction of personal memories and the ‘essence’ of individuals. Her transdisciplinary, ‘polyphonic’ research delves into the dual aspects of what remains and what is lost, exploring the grief of losing and the potential for reconstructing something new.
Through mediums and materials such as installation, sound, voice, and AI technologies, Ceola explores these themes alongside collective projects and graphic work including lino printing and pinprick drawing. She shares her work through exhibitions, workshops, performances and radio broadcasts, recently experienced at Brutus, Kunstinstituut Melly, Nest, SHIMMER, Dordrechts Museum, Roodkapje and WORM.
